This week, Disney announced that an exciting new package option will be available to guests on January 5. For packages arriving most nights January 8, 2021 through September 25, 2021, guests can receive two free park days with the purchase of a non-discounted, four-night/three-day package. This offer will be limited, so get on our list early!
In other theme park news, Universal Orlando just opened its newest hotel, Dockside Inn & Suites! This value hotel expands the resort’s onsite capacity by 2050 guest rooms. It also boasts family suites in addition to its onsite benefits.
Hawaii adjusted its quarantine requirements last week, officially dropping the quarantine period for travelers without a negative test from 14 to 10 days as per the CDC’s updated guidelines. Kauai is still opted out of the Safe Travels program at this time. More to come as this story continues to develop.
Several airlines have announced additional airlift to Cancun based on the large number of tourists flocking there. The beautiful resorts and beaches are drawing US vacationers and have been since mid-June. The air border to Mexico has remained open throughout the pandemic. This increased airlift is great news for passengers looking to go south of the border in the new year.
Over the weekend, the TSA said that it screened over 1 million passengers each day! Although this number is only about 40% of the usual numbers seen during the holiday season, it is clear that tourism is on the rise, and that people are eager to see the world again!
And don’t worry kids! We have your travel news too! It looks like there will be clear skies across the country on December 24 for the most important traveler of all - Santa Clause! Jolly Old St Nick has also been cleared to travel in the states with lockdowns, so get ready for a wonderful Christmas morning!
