We truly loved our stay and can easily see why this resort has become such a popular choice for couples looking to relax and reconnect.
Located about forty-five minutes from the airport, the resort feels tucked away and peaceful from the moment you arrive. The grounds are beautifully maintained with tropical flowers, cozy lounge areas, hammocks, and quiet corners throughout the property that make it easy to unwind.
Service & Atmosphere
One of the standout parts of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Service throughout the resort was excellent, and the attention to detail made the experience feel elevated without being stuffy.
Rooms receive daily housekeeping along with nightly turndown service, and the resort overall felt very clean, polished, and well cared for.
Dining at Sandals Curaçao
Food can sometimes be hit or miss at all-inclusive resorts, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the dining here.
The resort features seven restaurants offering a mix of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We dined at nearly all of them during our stay and consistently had great meals. There’s truly something for everyone whether you prefer casual poolside bites or more upscale dinners.

The Pools & Resort Layout
The pool areas at Sandals Curaçao are stunning.
There’s a quieter pool with a pool bar for guests wanting a more relaxed vibe, but the showstopper is definitely the double-level infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The lower level features a swim-up bar, making it one of the most popular gathering spots at the resort. Don’t miss the hot tubs tucked into the lush greenery—you might walk on by without seeing them!
We also appreciated how thoughtfully designed the property feels. Even when the resort is lively, there are still plenty of private-feeling spaces to relax with loungers, hammocks, hot tubs, and shaded seating areas tucked throughout the grounds.
What to Know About the Beach
The beach setup here is a little different than some Caribbean resorts, so it’s worth knowing ahead of time.
The beach directly in front of the infinity pool is beautiful to look at and perfect for photos — especially with the large Curaçao sign nearby — but it is not a swimmable beach area.
Farther down, however, there is a second beach area with a beach bar, cabanas, loungers, and water access. This section sits on an inlet near the resort’s water sports area, so there’s regular activity from boats and excursions throughout the day.
For us, this wasn’t an issue at all, and we still enjoyed the beach atmosphere and warm water. There was also plenty of sea life to spot — including a baby octopus that decided to attach itself to one guest's leg for a memorable surprise!
If a long, wide, traditional Caribbean beach is a must for you, you may prefer a different island or resorts. While this beach is lovely, it is a smaller footprint overall.
Live entertainment, casual venue on the beach
Entertainment & Activities
The entertainment at Sandals Curaçao felt fun and relaxed without being over-the-top.
Evenings included live music, jazz performers, karaoke, and even a Michael Jackson impersonator show. During the day, the resort hosted pool games, singers, dancers, bingo, and a fun “manager’s happy hour” with cocktails and snacks.
The vibe overall felt social and upbeat while still maintaining the peaceful atmosphere many couples want on vacation.
Travel Agent Pro Tip: Grab one of the bikes around the resort and go for a ride! It’s a great way to get around the resort!
Don’t Skip Willemstad
One of the highlights of visiting Curaçao is spending time in the capital city of Willemstad located about thirty-five minutes from the resort.
Everyone in our group absolutely loved this colorful waterfront city. Curaçao’s Dutch influence gives Willemstad a unique European feel with bright architecture, cobblestone streets, twinkle lights, waterfront cafés, shopping, and local artwork around every corner.
It felt safe, walkable, vibrant, and full of personality — definitely worth visiting during your stay.
