Egg-stravaganza scavenger and more at Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival

From March 16-April 1, 2018 you can visit the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and participate in our Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt – hunting high and low in World Showcase for “eggs” that portray favorite Disney characters. 

As you find the hidden Disney Character-themed “eggs” in the park, you can record their discoveries by placing a corresponding sticker on a specially themed Egg-stravaganza map. Maps and stickers can be purchased for $5.99, plus tax at the following parks and locations:

• Disney Trader
• Pin Central
• World Traveler

When you have found all of the “eggs” and complete the scavenger hunt map, you can return it to Disney Traders for a sp-egg-tacular surprise.

Also, featured will be a new springtime scavenger hunt called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration. In this hunt, Disney’s favorite honey bee, Spike, has been pollinating his way around the festival, giving gardeners of any age the chance to follow his pollination trail around World Showcase at Epcot.

It’s easy to start this new scavenger hunt. You can pick up a garden map and stickers at Port of Entry. Then, it’s time to look for Spike! 

As you explore the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, be on the lookout for Spike as he pollinates Epcot’s gardens. In each garden, you have to search for the plant Spike has pollinated, identifiable by Spike himself and a Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration plant stake. Once you find him, they can add the corresponding sticker to your map. 

After your journey is complete, you can return their map for a springtime surprise.

New Seine River Cruise for 2019 By Adventures By Disney!

The new 10-day, 9-night Seine river cruise vacation combines two days exploring Paris on land, followed by eight days of cruising to picturesque French destinations such as Normandy, Conflans, Vernon and more. You also have the option to add on an extension package at Disneyland® Paris Resort to complete your exciting vacation.

Meet the newest Disney Spring Eateries!

Do you remember the feeling you had when you walked into “Be Our Guest” for the first time? You’ll you be pleased to hear that when you walk into the new Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante in Disney Springs you’ll get that same feeling once again! We are accustomed to the dining options at the Springs to have a backstory and at Maria & Enzo’s and The Edison the story continues. 

I hadn’t read any articles or social media on the Patina Group’s new restaurants coming to Disney Springs. I wanted to experience them myself firsthand and did that this past week at the media event. What a treat! Both are not only visually stunning, but a “Must-Do” for any palette! As we waited outside Maria & Enzo’s I was transported back in time to both the Diesel Era of The Edison and the Golden Era of Travel with Maria & Enzo’s! 

You’ll see what I mean when you dine here for the first time. Both restaurants are side-by-side and also share a space with Pizza Ponte which is a reasonably-priced quick service-style dining establishment. 

We had the pleasure of meeting the Boss himself, Mickey Mouse! He and Minnie brought out a huge silver bucket filled to the rim with spaghetti and giant meatballs! At this point, we knew we’d be in for amazing homemade Italian cuisine. Flight Attendants of the Golden Age greeted us at the door and escorted us into the second floor double-sided grand staircase balcony overlooking the “abandoned airport” of yesteryear. The balcony not only overlooks the airport, but also the entire back half of the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows on the lake! You’re surrounded by sights and smells with fresh pasta and cheese in the forefront. This is a must-do restaurant! 

Let’s take a quick walk over to The Edison. Guess what? We don’t need to leave Maria & Enzo’s. There’s a hidden walkway of sorts that leads you right into the Edison’s Hideaway. Right into the Rum Running tunnels! Did you know about this place? Incredible! You’re taken back to the Diesel Punk times and it doesn’t disappoint! I don’t want to give too much away here, but you need to read the writing on the walls and take in the drawings as well! Well, take this hidden location right into The Edison! 

You might have heard of The Edison. It’s a restaurant the Patina Group has in a few locations in the US. You have two options for entrance, one is through the Rum Running tunnels from the Edison Hideaway like we did and the other is the grand entrance from the upstairs that leads you right into this giant clock! Amazing food options and tons of libations you’ll not find anywhere else! 

Get your cameras ready and bring a date, grab a friend or meet some new friends at either location. You’ll be so glad you didn’t miss these new Disney Springs offerings!

In 2018, Michelle will visit Spain! With stops in Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Sevilla, Costa del Sol, and Madrid, she’s going to see as much of the country as possible in less than two weeks. After living in Spain, Michelle considers it to be her second home, and goes back every chance she can find. More than anything, she’s excited to be surrounded by the culture, to live in Spanish, and, of course, to eat as much Spanish food as possible. She’ll be in Spain in June!

Jamaica - Kyla

 Kyla is going to one of her favorite spots in the world in 2018 - Jamaica! She love the people, the food, and the beauty of the island. The people are incredibly kind and friendly - a member of the hotel staff that she befriended on her last visit brought her mangos from her own yard every day! Kyla can’t wait to have Jamaican food - fresh fruit, jerk chicken, and a Red Stripe have her name on them! And, she loves the mountains, the palm trees, and the crystal clear, warm water - it’s a huge change from her local waterways in New England! Kyla will be in Jamaica in May!

Ireland - Joy

 Joy is having a European adventure in 2018! Her daughter has been an Irish dancer since she was in first grade, and she and her family have wanted to go to Ireland ever since. This year, for her daughter’s 18th birthday, they’re making their dream come true! While Ireland is a definite, they are considering also going to Great Britain, Scotland, and France. Joy’s daughters are excited to see the Warner Brothers tour in London and the world’s largest collection of books in Dublin - and Joy and her husband are excited to drink in the scenery...and a pint a the local pubs! Joy will be in Ireland in July!

Disneyland - Tracey

Tracey is taking her family to Disneyland in 2018! This is a first trip to Disneyland for her two sons, who are super excited to see Cars Land! They are also excited to have the chance to visit their family in California. Tracey will be in Disneyland for Easter!

Paris - Kelly

Kelly and her husband are headed to Paris in 2018! She is excited to see the Eiffel Tower and other must-see sites, but Kelly is also looking forward to visiting Monet’s gardens to see the inspiration for so many of his paintings. She and her husband will be celebrating their fifth anniversary in the City of Lights in May!

Disneyland - Patti

Patti and her sisters will be in Disneyland in 2018! This is a first visit for Patti, who is looking forward to experiencing the Disney magic in California! She’s also excited to have a getaway with her sisters. She’ll be there for her next birthday - another reason to be excited!

Ireland - Sarah

Sarah will be visiting Ireland in 2018! She’s super excited to visit her family’s castle, and to see where Last Jedi was filmed! Ireland has been on her travel bucket list forever, and it’s finally time to cross it off. She’ll be there in the fall!

Mexico - Lori

Lori is hosting a group trip to Mexico in 2018, and she can’t wait! She loves Mexico, and loves introducing it to other travelers through her group trips. She hosts several a year, and is always welcoming new travelers to her groups. Her first Mexican adventure of the year will be in February!

Walt Disney World - Carrie

This isn’t Carrie’s first trip to Disney World, but it comes with a special feature - she’s going to see her daughter perform! Carrie is super excited to see her daughter’s marching band and choir performances, which will add a new, fun element to her Disney experience. She’ll be there in April!

Mexico - Jodi

Jodi will be with Lori on the group trip to Mexico in 2018! She’s super excited to relax and recharge in Cancún, and to gear up for a year full of travel! She’ll be on the beach in Mexico in February!

Mexico - Lindsay

This attraction a very special way to have your little ones interact with Belle from Beauty & the Beast! First, wander through Belle & Maurice’s cottage and workshop; you then magically find yourselves within the Beast’s castle! The kids will help re-enact the “tale as old as time” once you travel into the library and see Lumiere as well.
