Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has always intrigued me, but Gran Destino Tower — and especially Club Level — takes this moderate resort to a completely different level.
The tower itself feels much more like an upscale hotel than what you might expect from a Disney moderate resort. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with an elevated, sophisticated style while still having subtle Disney touches. And there’s something about the scent when you walk into Gran Destino Tower — clean, luxurious and instantly welcoming!
What About the Location?
Coronado Springs relies on bus transportation to the theme parks, and I’ll admit that buses are probably my least favorite form of Disney transportation. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how short most of our rides were.
Coronado Springs does have multiple internal bus stops, which initially concerned me, but in reality, it wasn’t nearly as inconvenient as I expected. Staying in Gran Destino Tower puts you in the main building with easy access to the lobby, restaurants, and other resort amenities.
Is Club Level Worth It?
If you’re looking to add a little luxury to your Disney vacation, Club Level can definitely take your stay up a notch.
Club Level guests have access to the private Chronos Club lounge with comfortable seating, concierge level service, and complimentary food and beverages offered throughout the day. It’s a wonderful place to grab breakfast before heading to the parks, stop for an afternoon snack, or enjoy appetizers and drinks before heading out for the evening.
Typical serving hours are:
Coffee: 6:30–7:00 a.m.
Continental Breakfast: 7:00–10:30 a.m.
Light Snacks: 11:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Hors d’oeuvres: 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Desserts & Cordials: 8:00–10:00 p.m.
Times and offerings are always subject to change.
One thing I especially like about Club Level is having somewhere to slow down for a bit. Disney vacations can be busy! Having a comfortable lounge where you can grab a drink or snack and recharge before heading back out makes the resort feel like part of the vacation rather than simply somewhere to sleep.
The Bottom Line
Gran Destino Tower is a great option for travelers who want the convenience and fun of staying at Walt Disney World but prefer a more sophisticated, adult-friendly atmosphere. Add Club Level, and it feels surprisingly close to a deluxe resort experience without actually booking a Disney Deluxe Resort.
