• Spot Maleficent the Dragon –  Maleficent the Dragon, with her Steampunk style and signature wicked grin, will be let loose for the first time at night – breathing fire as she creeps through the park as a one-of-a-kind experience for party Guests.

• Villanous Enhancements: Discover surprising, villain-inspired additions at Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain.

• Wickedly Good Food & Beverage -A variety of special food & beverage offerings will also be available for purchase, including tasty desserts, drinks and dishes inspired by The Queen, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Hades, Dr. Facilier and even Emperor Zurg.

The 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

The 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will run August 29-November 23. That makes it

the longest Food & Wine Festival in the park’s history at 87 days! Eat to the Beat Concert Series will

run August 29-November 19 and will feature a lineup of pop, rock, R&B, country, Christian, swing

and Latin artists. Note that the concert series will conclude a few days earlier than the festival in

order to set the stage for the return of the Candlelight Processional. This year’s festival will continue

its tradition of offering tasty dishes, fine dining events, and appearances by favorite Disney

culinarians and top celebrity chefs.

The 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays returns November 29-December 30. The

park’s seasonal celebration invites guests to discover holiday cheer across all 11 World Showcase

pavilions and throughout the park. Special entertainment, storytellers, seasonal favorites at Holiday

Kitchens and eye-catching holiday decor are all part of the fun. The Candlelight Processional, a

holiday must-do for many Epcot guests, will feature nightly retellings of the traditional Christmas

story read by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a massed choir and live orchestra.

Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Get ready to experience a new dining adventure honoring some of the most majestic and endangered African animals and celebrating the beloved story of “The Lion King.” Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night offers a unique way to dine at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a family-friendly progressive dining experience drawing inspiration from the many facets of African cultures and animals.

Your journey begins with a welcome reception at the Wildlife Express Train Station and takes you on a fun-filled adventure to the train station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, then continues on to Harambe Market. Throughout the night, you’ll take in sights, sounds, and scrumptious flavors in celebration of “The Lion King” and the Big Five game animals: the African elephant, the rhinoceros, the Cape buffalo, the leopard, and our host animal, the lion. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of the Big Five and the challenges they face around the world as well as how Disney is working to protect them. 

Starting at the train station, you’ll receive light hors d’oeuvres, snacks, and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) while enjoying acoustic music before hopping on the train to ride over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with more light bites and sips. And hanging out in the train station, familiar friends Timon and Rafiki will be available for character greetings and fun interactive activities for all ages. Once you’ve finished up at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, hop back on the train and get ready to venture over to Harambe Market for the main event. Things are heating up around Walt Disney World® Resort, quite literally, and one of the best ways to enjoy the beautiful weather is a fun and relaxing day at Disney Water Parks! This spring, we’re rolling out some new offerings that are sure to make your visit to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Disney’s Blizzard Beach even more “cool” and magical.

Upon arrival in York, explore the medieval Shambles and the enormous York Minster, the largest and finest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe, which is renowned for its outstanding stained glass. Climb the tower for an unparalleled view of the city. Continue into the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. Tucked away in a scenic river valley, Fountain's Abbey is a World Heritage Site and a picture of medieval grandeur. It is a beautiful countryside setting with a range of upper class activities - fishing, clay pigeon shooting, cooking experiences and hiking, picnics, and more are all on offer. Guests can also enjoy a tour of the estate and grounds. Perhaps consider an optional champagne tea on a private island. Alternatively, those who wish to see more of the region can choose an optional visit to North York Moors National Park, a vast tract of purple moorland, steep, deep-sided valleys and clumps of thick forest. Visit Goathland, which is known as Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films. Explore the charming village and enjoy a cup of tea in these stunning surroundings. Your journey continues by train on the stunning steam-hauled North York Moors Railway. Upon arrival in Whitby, explore the old seaside town and climb the steps to the famous Whitby Abbey.   This morning travel to Castle Howard for a private tour with a staff member. Jaleo Opening at Disney Springs West Side!

We are so excited about this!!

There has been much anticipation around the opening of Jaleo by Chef José Andrés, which celebrates traditional Spanish cuisine in a festive atmosphere. Today, we're happy to announce the wait is over – Jaleo at Disney Springs® West Side is slated to open for dinner on March 17, 2019.

Jaleo at Disney Springs will feature an extensive menu of tapas, the traditional small plates of Spain, as well as savory paellas, sangrias, and a selection of Spanish wines and sherries. The celebration of these flavors in an inviting, vibrant atmosphere is a hallmark of all Jaleo restaurants. 

Jaleo offers an excellent selection of embutidos (cured ibérico ham, pork chorizo, and spreadable cured sausage) and quesos (cheese from cow, goat, and sheep’s milk). The Queso Massimo, an Asturian raw cow’s milk cheese made exclusively for Chef José Andrés and Jaleo, is cured for four months with the pulp from Asturian apples.

A variety of authentic paellas cooked over a wood-fired paella pit are a highlight and are available by the plate or pan. Select specialty paellas are available each night with entire pans prepared to order for eight or more guests and presented tableside.

Ensaladas y Mas options include Gazpacho estilo Algeciras, the classic chilled Spanish soup made with tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers; Ensalada de coles de bruselas con albaricoques, manzanas y jamón serrano, a delicious dish of warm Brussels sprouts salad with apricots, apple, and serrano ham; and Ensalada de remolacha con citricos which is a salad of red beets, citrus, Valdeón cheese, and pistachios with sherry dressing.

Perfect for sharing will be traditional chicken fritters (Croquetas de pollo) and Aceitunas modernas y clásicas – ‘Ferran Adrià’ liquid olives and gordal olives stuffed with piquillo pepper and anchovy. A traditional Spanish omelette with potatoes and onions (Tortilla de patatas clásica) is also offered for the table.

On the restaurant’s front corner adjacent to the Jaleo entrance will be Pepe by José Andrés, the first brick and mortar location of the chef’s popular Spanish food truck. Pepe will be open for lunch and dinner beginning March 17.

New Pirate & Mermaid Experiences, Plus Other New Offerings at Walt Disney World®!

Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew at Disney’s Beach Club

ARRGH! Ahoy, there Mateys! Reservations are now open for a new group experience that invites guests ages 4-12 into the world of pirate feasting and treasure seeking, high-energy sailin’ and swashbucklin’ fun. Located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew teaches youngsters the pirate ways and then lets them follow clues that will lead to hidden treasure and being named to Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew. Once armed with clues, young buccaneers will search through the resort and set sail on a pontoon boat around Crescent Lake. Once the treasure is uncovered, everyone will join in a Pirate feast that includes selections such as Cannon Meatballs with marinara or macaroni and “gold” sauce for entrees, along with a treasure chest treat or fruit for dessert. Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew is priced at $55 per child (plus tax); the adventures begin April 28.

Mermaid School

Guests can become part of Ariel’s world at the new Mermaid School at select Walt Disney World resort hotels. In this experience, guests ages 4 and older can enjoy an hour-long class where they’ll be fitted with a swimmable “tail” and led through activities teaching them how to swim in a pool like a mermaid. Mermaid School will be offered on select dates at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Classes are $50/person (plus tax). Bookings will open mid-March.

Cabanas at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts

Reservations are open for rentals of the new poolside cabanas at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. These private hideaways exclusive to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts provide guests with a bevy of services, including:

Fishing Excursions

Whether a seasoned sportsman or amateur angler, guided excursions or dockside fishing in the waterways of Walt Disney World Resort are great fun for guests of all ages. Aboard a 21-foot SunTracker pontoon (up to five guests) or a tournament-style NITRO bass-fishing boat (for one or two participants), teeming Disney waters are an angler’s dream. At last! The day is here! We now have some details for the much anticipated opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge!

On opening day for phase one, your Clients will be able to live your own Star Wars story and take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, sample amazing galactic food and beverages, explore an intriguing collection of merchant shops and more.

And for phase two, opening later this year, will be Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined that will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance and will blur the lines between fantasy and reality.  In light of tremendous demand, Disney made the decision to open the land in phases to allow Guests to sooner enjoy the one-of-a-kind experiences that make Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so spectacular.

Guests planning to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park between May 31 and June 23, 2019 will need valid theme park admission and will be required to make a no-cost reservation, subject to availability, to access the land. Information on how to make a reservation will be available at a later date. Guests staying at one of the three DisneylandResort hotels during these dates will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay (one reservation per registered guest); valid theme park admission is required.

A reservation will not be offered or required to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Walt Disney World® Resort. And you should know that valid theme park admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after its opening on August 29, 2019. Capacity is limited. Disney Cruise Line Summer 2020 Itineraries announced!

In summer 2020, Disney Cruise Line will embark on a variety of itineraries around the world, including a long-awaited return to Greece and the addition of five first-time ports of call in Europe. Along with an expanded European season aboard the Disney Magic, adventures will continue across the fleet with sailings to Alaska, the Caribbean and Bahamas. 

European Explorations

After a five-year hiatus, the Disney Magic will return to Greece in summer 2020 as part of three special Mediterranean voyages departing from Rome. During one 12-night and two nine-night cruises, you can marvel at the beautiful landscapes and archeological wonders of destinations like Piraeus, the gateway to Athens; Katakolon, near ancient Olympia; and the islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Crete.

Each of these unique Mediterranean itineraries combines a selection of stops in Greece with visits to other notable cities in the region. Two of the sailings include a new port of call in Messina, Italy, where Guests can visit landmarks in Sicily such as Mount Etna, the highest and most active volcano in Europe, or the Piazza del Duomo, the city’s historic center. The third features a return to the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the first time in five years.

Additional new ports of call in Europe include Gdynia, Poland; Nordfjordeid, Norway; Plymouth, England; and Zeebrugge, Belgium. This new collection of destinations is part of the Disney Magic’s grand tour of Europe in the summer of 2020, which begins with sailings through the Mediterranean and Greek Isles before heading to northern Europe in late summer for cruises to the Baltic, British Isles and Norwegian fjords.

Alaskan Adventures            

In 2020, the Disney Wonder will return to Alaska for the summer season, opening up a world of breathtaking natural vistas, magnificent glaciers and awe-inspiring wildlife. These seven-night itineraries depart from Vancouver, Canada, with visits to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Dawes Glacier. Each sailing features fun and adventure both in port and on the ship, from stunning scenery and one-of-a-kind Port Adventures in each destination to special touches that bring the splendor and spirit of Alaska to life onboard.

Tropical Travel to the Caribbean and Bahamas

In addition to seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, near Orlando, Florida, the Disney Fantasy will embark on a variety of itineraries to the Caribbean and Bahamas throughout the summer of 2020. These include five- and nine-night Caribbean sailings, along with three-, four- and five-night Bahamian cruises, three of which feature two stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

A new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location is set to open at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa this summer in order to provide more royal transformations than ever before. The new boutique – the third of its kind at Walt Disney World® Resort – will be located inside what’s currently the Ivy Trellis Salon, which will relocate into Senses – A Disney Spa.

Also based on the popularity of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom® Park, work will begin this spring to expand the location, adding more chairs, a very special magic mirror, and a transformation experience that will help Guests choose the perfect outfits and accessories. The Magic Kingdom Park location will remain open during these enhancements and existing reservations will not be affected.

In case you aren’t familiar, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique locations currently exist at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Springs®, and pair up young guests age 3-12 with Fairy Godmothers-in-Training, who give them magical makeovers beyond their wildest Disney dreams, turning them into princesses or gallant knights. A variety of royal transformations are available and may include hairstyling, nail polish, accessories, gowns and more, depending on the package guests choose.

Play Pavilion at Epcot!

 There are BIG plans ahead for the multi-year transformation of Epcot®, with new experiences that will "wow" you while keeping true to the original vision of the park. Today, we're excited to share even more of what's to come.

The ongoing evolution of Epcot includes plans for a play pavilion that'll be unlike anything ever seen at the park. This new space will be devoted to playful fun and feature an innovative city that'll come to life under the dome of the un-named pavilion previously known as Wonders of Life. The pavilion's city will be bursting with interactive experiences, favorite Disney characters, hands-on activities and engaging entertainment hen it opens just in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World® Resort!

As part of the new entry experience, Leave a Legacy photos will be moving into a beautiful setting just outside the park's gateway. Additional signficant redevelopment will begin between Spaceship Earth attraction and the World Showcase Promenade. More details about the transformation of this area will be announced at a later date.

And if you're as excited as we are about these upcoming projects, you will soon be able to look into the future with us at a new Experience Center coming to Epcot  later this year. The Experience Center will be located in the former Odyssey Pavilion and feature interactive exhibits to help visualize park projects throughout this unprecedented period of transformation.

The the Story of ‘Coco’ comes to Epcot This Spring!

Beginning March 6, 2019, the tender story and vibrant music of Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” comes to the Mexico pavilion, courtesy of the incomparable Mariachi Cobre.

The immensely talented musicians of Mariachi Cobre are joined by a pair of Folklórico dancers to tell the tale of Miguel Rivera, his love of music, and his journey to find what matters most – his familia. The dancers perform to the music of the film, pulling everyone into the celebration, and Miguel himself appears in the form of a whimsical, hand-crafted puppet.

This new “Coco”-inspired show expands the repertoire of Mariachi Cobre, who will also continue enchanting guests at the Mexico pavilion with performances of traditional mariachi music.

This spring, you can gather your familia as Mariachi Cobre presents the story and music of “Coco,” beginning March 6, 2019, during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

Meet Ralph and Vanellope at Epcot!

Ralph and Vanellope from Disney’s animated adventure “Ralph Breaks the Internet” have been meeting their fans at Disney Parks since last fall, when their movie debuted in theaters. Starting this week, you can find these best friends in an all-new location at Epcot®.

The staff of the Imagination Institute is now conducting a new experiment, creating a portal into other dimensions. That portal has opened a window on the internet for Ralph and Vanellope to step through, right into the ImageWorks area of the Imagination! pavilion, where you can meet with them every day.

The hit film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” is now available on Digital and comes to Blu-ray on Feb. 26, 2019. Available for the first time on 4K Ultra HD!

Starting Jan. 19, 2019, you can enjoy a delicious meal and specially-reserved viewing for the farewell season of "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" with the new dining package!

The “IllumiNations” Dining Package, allows you to sit back and relax on the patio of the Rose & Crown Dining Room, located in the United Kingdom Pavilion, while eating classic British fare and enjoying sweeping views of World Showcase Lagoon.
